New on Netflix in May: Riverdale Season 4, The Flash Season 6, Charmed Season 2 & more 1

The latest seasons of some The CW series are coming to Netflix this May.

Charmed Season 2 will arrive on the streaming service on May 9th; Riverdale Season 4 on May 14th; The Flash Season 6 on May 20th; and Dynasty Season 3 on May 23rd. Season 5 of Supergirl will also be available to stream in May, but an exact release date has yet to be announced. In addition to The CW shows, Netflix will also drop the recently concluded Season 16 of the ABC series Grey’s Anatomy on May 9th.

Next month will also see the return of some of Netflix’s fan-favorite original series. Season 4 of the comedy-drama Workin’ Moms will premiere on May 6th; Season 2 of black comedy Dead to Me on May 8th; and Season 5 of the animated series She-ra and the Princesses of Powers on May 15th. Both sophomore runs of the reality TV shows Restaurants on the Edge and Rust Valley Restorers will also arrive on the streaming service on May 8th, while Season 3 of Justin Willman’s Magic for Humans is set to debut on the streamer on May 15th.

A number of new Netflix original series are also scheduled to launch in May. For instance, Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s new limited series Hollywood ― which follows a group of aspiring actors and filmmakers trying to make it in Tinseltown post-World War II ― will premiere in May 1st. Crime thriller White Lines from Money Heist creator Álex Pina will be released on May 15th, while comedy series Space Force, created by Greg Daniels and Steve Carell, will be available to stream starting May 29th.

On the original movie front, Netflix is releasing crime drama All Day and a Night and LGBTQ film The Half of It both on May 1st. Directed by Black Panther co-writer Joe Robert Cole, All Day and a Night tells the story of a young criminal who looks back on the days preceding his arrest to find clues to his way forward in life. The Half of It, meanwhile, follows a shy, straight-A student named Ellie who helps a sweet jock, Paul, woo his crush. The two develop an unlikely friendship, which turns complicated when Ellie falls for the same girl.

An interactive Kimmy special titled Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy Vs. the Reverend is also set to arrive on Netflix on May 12th. Ten days after that, May 22nd, the action-adventure film The Lovebirds, starring Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjiani, will arrive on the streamer.

Completing the new releases for May is a bunch of old films hitting the streaming service on May 1st. Some of those movies are Back to the Future, Back to the Future Part II, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, the complete Jarhead film series, and the first three Underworld movies. Critically acclaimed movies such as Brad Pitt’s The Mysterious Case of Benjamin Button, Mel Gibson’s The Patriot, and Joh Travolta’s Urban Cowboy will also be available to stream on the first day of May.
