With November just days away, Netflix is gearing up its latest content pack, and this one’s loaded. Season-one of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, as well as the final season House of Cards are undoubtedly the most anticipated shows.
While season-six of HoC was intended to continue where season-five left of, Kevin Spacey’s abrupt firing resulted in the production team entirely rewriting the script. Though we’ll have to wait until November 2nd to see how things unfold, we know that this last chapter will focus in on Claire, as she becomes our nation’s first female president. And despite being atop the political totem pole, reports suggest that backstabbing, betrayal, and bitterness are at a fever pitch.
On the flip side, there’s the inaugural season of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (Nov 16th). Some of us are old enough to remember the original, 80s version, but if you’re new, here’s a brief rundown. Essentially, the show is about an orphan called Adora who discovers a magical sword that transforms her into a warrior princess. As she travels the land slaying enemies, she meets up with other evil fighting princesses, eventually forming a group of fortifiable warriors.
On the film front we’ll get a chance to see: Children of Men, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Cloverfield, Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo, From Dusk Till Dawn, Good Will Hunting, Jet Li’s Fearless, National Lampoon’s Animal House, Scary Movie 2, Scary Movie 3, Sex and the City: The Movie, and Sixteen Candles – all available starting the 1st of the month.
Following the initial release, Netflix will pepper us with many other movies/ shows/docs, including Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil (Nov 3rd), Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End (Nov 4th), Narcos: Mexico (Nov. 16th), The Pixar Story (Nov. 18th), and My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: Best Gift Ever (Nov 25th.)
Lastly, subscribers have just a few more days to catch Jurassic Park, Cruel Intentions, Land Before Time before they’re removed from the service.
