What’s new on Netflix this December: James Bond movies, Austin Powers Trilogy, & more

The Ryan Reynolds-led thriller 6 Underground and the Henry Cavill vehicle The Witcher will also premiere next month

Netflix has just unveiled the complete list of titles that will be added to its library this coming December, and unlike last month’s not-so-exciting releases, the streamer’s December lineup is pretty solid.

For one, all four James Bond films starring Pierce BrosnanGoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, and Die Another Day — will be available to stream on Netflix starting December 31st. And for those who love a mix of action and comedy, the complete Austin Powers Trilogy will be arriving on the streaming service on December 1st. Other non-original Netflix movies landing on the streamer next month include the backstage musical Burlesque (December 16th), the biographical romantic drama The Danish Girl (December 16th), and the animated flick The Secret Life of Pets 2 (December 27th).

Netflix will also be releasing a bunch of new original movies next month, including the Ryan Reynolds-led action thriller 6 Underground (December 13th), Scarlett Johansson’s comedy-drama Marriage Story (December 6th), and A Christmas Princess: The Royal Baby (December 5th), which is the third installment of the streaming service’s A Christmas Prince film series.

Henry Cavill in The Witcher

On the original series front, December marks the release of the fantasy drama The Witcher (December 20th) with Henry Cavill in the titular role, the sci-fi horror V Wars (December 5th) starring Ian Somerhalder, and the animated series Fast & Furious: Spy Racers (December 26th), based on the Fast & Furious film franchise.

Next month will also see the return of some of the fan-favorite Netflix original series, including the second season of the psychological thriller You (December 25th), second season of the sci-fi family drama Lost in Space (December 24th), and the fifth and final season of the sitcom Fuller House (December 6th).

Netflix will also be the streaming home of the following series starting this December:  Season 1 of Syfy’s Nightflyers (December 2nd), Season 2 of TBS’ The Last OG (December 4th), Season 4 of OWN’s Greenleaf (December 5th), Season 3 of Starz’s Outlander (December 10th), Season 4 of Syfy’s The Magicians (December 16th), and the entire six-season run of ABC’s Private Practice (December 22nd).
