KFC is redefining the joy of unwrapping gifts with a bold and flavorful twist. For this holiday season, the beloved fast-food giant has launched a limited-edition lickable wrapping paper that captures the iconic taste of its famous Original Recipe Chicken. Created in partnership with emerging artist SOLDIER, this one-of-a-kind wrapping paper turns gift-giving into a sensory experience. As you unwrap your presents, you’re invited to savor the unmistakable flavors of KFC’s signature dish – but there’s a catch.

What does KFC’s lickable wrapping paper really taste like?

According to its official product description, KFC’s lickable wrapping paper tastes like the restaurant chain’s Original Recipe Chicken, but with a refreshing hit of cranberry sauce and aromatic pinch of sage from the sage and onion stuffing patty used in the fan-favorite Stuffing Stacker Burger.

If you aren’t familiar with the Stuffing Stacker Burger, that’s because it’s only available on KFC’s Christmas Menu in the United Kingdom. The fan-favorite burger consists of two original recipe filets, sage and onion stuffing, lettuce, cheese, and spicy cranberry sauce.

Is KFC’s lickable wrapping paper edible?

Although all the products used in the creation of KFC’s lickable wrapping paper are food-safe and non-toxic, the chain made it clear that the holiday item is a novelty product and is not intended for human consumption. KFC also pointed out that the wrapping paper may contain traces of all known allergens and is not suitable for vegetarians, vegans, or children under the age of five.

It’s important to note that every part of the wrapping paper is lickable. The wrapping paper has designated lickable areas with a protective cover that must be peeled off first. The flavors are also encapsulated, so the lickable areas may require a few licks before the full flavor is released. Licking any patches where no protective cover is present and sharing the lickable areas are strongly not advised.

How to buy KFC’s lickable wrapper paper

The limited-edition wrapping paper, which comes in a 300cmx60cm roll, is not for sale. It is available for free exclusively on the KFC Shop but only for residents of the U.K. and Ireland. However, a quick visit to the store’s website would reveal that the product has zero stocks left, and it’s not clear if KFC has any plans to re-stock.
