When KFC’s gaming console KFConsole was first announced in June, a lot of fans thought that it was just a joke to make fun of the then-upcoming launches of Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X. But on Tuesday, more details about the KFC-branded gaming console were revealed, and it looks it is real after all.

In addition to the new video and photos of the KFConsole shared by the official KFC Gaming Twitter account, a new landing page dedicated to the gaming console also went live on Tuesday, and it revealed that the KFConsole was actually created through partnerships with Cooler Master, Intel, Asus, and Seagate.

The KFConsole features Intel NUC 9 Extreme compute element paired with an ASUS graphics card. It is also equipped with two Seagate BarraCuda 1TB SSD and comes with a GPU slot that users can outfit with different components to keep them up-to-date as new cards come out. All these pieces of hardware are packaged into a custom Cooler Master case that resembles a bucket of KFC chicken.

The case also houses the world’s first built-in chicken chamber, which utilizes the natural heat and airflow system of the KFConsole to keep users’ favorite finger-lickin’-good treats hot and crispy.

Aside from being VR-ready, the KFConsole also lets users enjoy a smooth and fluid high-frame-rate gameplay at up to 240fps for all games, with support for 240Hz output on 4k displays.

Despite all these new believable details about the KFConsole, a lot of people still wonder if the computer system is indeed a working product that can play games.

Others, meanwhile, are now interested in knowing its price and how Cyberpunk 2077 will run on it.

The KFConsole doesn’t have a release date yet. It’s also unclear if it will be sold to the public and how many units will be available.
