Hostess is releasing marshmallow-filled S’mores cupcakes

If you’re craving for campfire S’mores, Hostess, the mastermind behind Twinkies, has got you covered. The company is introducing a new limited edition S’mores-flavored cupcake which will be exclusively sold at Walmart.

Walmart has the exclusive rights to a brand new, cupcake version of s’mores courtesy of @hostess_snacks! What’s fun here is what the box isn’t telling you: the yellow cake is graham cracker flavored (at least according to the PR email I got, which also says they are *moist* (?)) The filling is toasted marshmallow flavored to. This is pretty ambitious and although there’s a decent chance this just tastes like “cupcake” more than anything else, I’m eager to track these down. Should be available in Walmart any day now.

The Hostess S’mores cupcake will mimic all the components of a campfire S’more starting with a moist, graham-flavored cake base. The trademark cream center will be replaced with a toasted marshmallow filling and will be topped off with some chocolate frosting to complete that comforting S’mores experience. All without the mess.

The cupcake and will be available exclusively in-store starting July 9th. One box will contain eight individually wrapped pieces and cost $2.98.
