What if Disney Princesses fell in love with each other?

Here’s what your favorite Disney Princesses would look like if they were gay

Though members of the LGBTQ community have been subtly represented in a number of Disney Princess movies before, the film studio has yet to introduce an openly gay Disney Princess. While it’s unclear whether Disney has plans for a gay princess movie in the future, some Frozen fans had actively campaigned for the studio to give Elsa a girlfriend in the film’s upcoming sequel.

With the desire to make young girls understand that a princess can also love another princess, fan Alexis Isabel Moncada launched the #GiveElsaAGirlfriend campaign on Twitter back in April 2016. The campaign got so much attention at the time that it drew a countervailing campaign in conservative circles. Though the #GiveElsaAGirlfriend movement was acknowledged by the creative team behind the Frozen franchise, Frozen 2 won’t introduce a romantic interest for the Queen of Arendelle because it’s not a story filmmakers Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee want to tell at this point in time.

But if you’re one of those who are yearning to see Elsa come out as a lesbian, then you’re in luck, because we’ve compiled pieces of fan art that reimagine the Snow Queen and other Disney Princesses as gay characters.
