Fila is releasing a new range of Pokémon sneakers and we really do ‘gotta catch ’em all.’
These shoes are the latest product to be inspired by the outrageously popular Japanese animated show.
Thus far, Pokémon has spawned an innumerable amount of spin-off products, including several excellent video games and the smartphone game, Pokémon Go, which made you and your friends look a little silly while hunting for the fictional creatures in real world locations.
The sneakers come in several different designs, each of which are inspired by a different Pokémon. Fans of Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur and Jigglypuff can start getting excited, because those are the Pokémon which the designers have focused on.
The primary color in each shoe is white, with a different color trim depending on which Pokémon the design was inspired by. The tongue of each shoe features a Pokeball and the heel is fitted with a picture based on each of the selected Pokémon.
It’s not all good news though. Unfortunately for us, this terrific collaboration between the two brands is only available in South Korea and there is no sign of an international release coming any time soon.
Thus, you are more likely to catch a Articuno while playing Pokémon Go, than you are to find these in a store outside of South Korea.
