Dell is breaking world records today by announcing the Dell Ultrasharp 49 Curved Monitor U4919DW. With a 32:9 aspect ratio, and 30 million pixels, the monitor essentially packs in the equivalent of two 27” quad HD monitors. This mammoth-sized monitor is beautiful to behold in person with visuals that pop alongside wide viewing angles. It’s also so large that it’s almost intimidating!
The monitor is able to accept inputs from 2 different PCs and it displays them in picture-by-picture. You can even connect both a desktop and a laptop to the U4919DW at the same time – and you’ll be able to control both of those with a single keyboard and mouse. The monitor is also able to power a USB-C laptop with up to 90 watts of power delivery supported.
Dell envisions this monitor replacing multi-monitor setups everywhere from places like trading desks to corporate offices. We think that it would be an ideal multi-monitor setup for vigilantes.
Dell says that it’s super easy to arrange your monitor set up using their easily arrange software.
The Dell Ultrasharp 49 Curved Monitor U4919DW will retail for $1,699 and it goes on sale on October 26th. That pricing might seem pretty steep, but Dell points out that there is a real economic value for companies to invest in these larger size monitor because of the productivity gained from using them over time.
However, if that pricing is too rich for your blood, Dell has also announced the new Dell UltraSharp 34 Curved USB-C Monitor (U3419W) for $1,149.99, along with new Dell UltraSharp 24 U2419HC ($399) and 27 USB-C monitors U2719DC ($649) which both have new smaller bases that take up less desk space. They also offer a super slim 6.1mm profile.
