Forget ghosts and goblins because this upcoming Halloween is all about whimsical bodysuits! Chipotle is spicing up this year’s trick-or-treat season with its first official Halloween costume line, which lets you ditch the scary for something truly quirky. Designed in collaboration with Spirit Halloween, the restaurant chain’s Halloween costume collection is inspired by popular memes shared on both brands’ social channels. Keep reading below to have your first glimpse at the oddly satisfying Chipotle x Spirit Halloween costumes.

From Meme to Reality: Chipotle’s First-Ever Halloween Costume Line

The inspiration behind Chipotle’s inaugural Halloween costume collection stems from a long-running social media trend where users create spoof Halloween costumes using Spirit Halloween’s iconic packaging.

In 2022, Chipotle jumped on this trend, sharing a fictional “Chipotle Fork” costume—simply an image of one of the chain’s black plastic forks—with the playful caption, “Found ur costume.” The following year, the brand took it further by introducing a “Chipotle Napkin” costume concept, featuring a person in a tan bodysuit with the Chipotle logo on the chest.

Now, Chipotle has teamed up with Spirit Halloween to turn these viral jokes into actual costumes. In addition to the “Chipotle Fork” and “Chipotle Napkin” costumes, Chipotle’s Halloween Costume Line also includes the “Chipotle Water Cup,” “Chipotle Burrito,” and “Chipotle To-Go Bag” costumes.

Kym Sarkos, Executive Vice President at Spirit Halloween, added: “We’re no strangers to memes at Spirit Halloween. Year after year, we are blown away by the passion and creativity we see from fans sharing their take on popular Spirit Halloween memes – and we’re beyond thrilled to be teaming up with Chipotle to bring some of those creations to life.”
