When is Black Friday?

Black Friday is observed the day after Thanksgiving. In 2022, Thanksgiving Day falls on November 24th, so this year’s Black Friday is on November 25th. Black Friday marks the start of the Christmas shopping season in the United States, as many stores offer big discounts and amazing deals during the day. In fact, Black Friday has routinely been the busiest shopping day of the year in the country since 2005.

What is the best time to go for a Black Friday shopping spree?

If you are shopping in-store, it would be a lot better to arrive in your preferred shops as early as possible to take advantage of early deals. Shopping early is also recommended as the number of discounted items and best deals start to drop as the day goes on.

But holiday shopping in the U.S. has changed drastically ever since the rise of online shopping. Retail chains are no longer dependent on specific days to drive sales, so customers can now avail of Black Friday discounts days or even weeks ahead of the actual holiday.

The U.S. holiday used to be marked by a few big shopping days, with Black Friday being the biggest. But as pointed out by CNN, retailers in recent years have started to put out their deals and events earlier and spread them out across the season. This helps them avoid a crush of demand, which usually strains their stores and delivery networks.
