Another day of Apple being Apple. According to Bloomberg, the global tech-giant designed and created its own own facemask for distribution to its corporate and retail employees.
Not to confuse this with Apple’s other face mask, the ClearMask, this one was created solely for Apple employees. ClearMask, on the other hand, is an FDA-approved transparent mask created in collaboration with Gallaudet University in Washington to help those with hearing or vision disabilities.
The ones responsible for the development of the company’s face mask are from the same Engineering and Industrial design teams who worked on the iPhone and iPad. In keeping with the Apple brand, the custom-designed face mask is distributed in minimalist white packaging and can be washed and reused up to five times.

Apple says that it went underwent proper research and testing to find the most optimal materials to provide proper filtration without affecting the supply of raw materials needed to create medical-grade personal protective equipment.
These new Apple-designed face masks will be replacing the current cloth masks the company initially offered their employees. They will start the distribution of these masks over the next two weeks.
