Get ready to lose yourselves to the fun on offer from Lego and Daft Punk, because these two absolute legends of modern culture are officially joining forces. The Lego Group and the iconic electronic music duo have announced a brand-new, multi-layered partnership that will bring the legendary robot personas into the Lego universe.
The collaboration, which will span across products, digital content and brand experiences, is built to celebrate the creative communities that shaped both cultural powerhouses.
Teasing the brick-built robots
The excitement kicked off when sharp-eared fans tuning into ‘Daft Punk – WDPK 83.7’ heard an unexpected final transmission. The mysterious 30-second teaser featured a classic 2×4 red Lego brick viewed from behind, with its internal tubes cleverly styled to evoke speaker woofers.
To celebrate the official launch of the partnership, the brands dropped a brand-new promotional film. Set to the classic Daft Punk tracks “Voyager” (from the 2001 album Discovery) and “Human After All” (the title track from their 2005 album), the video follows the duo’s minifigures trailing a holographic red brick through a dark, atmospheric landscape. As the robots step through the “gates-of-play,” holographic architecture unfolds around them until they finally take their positions behind a brick-built mixing console.
From fan passion project to official set

The crowning achievement of this new alliance is rooted directly in the Lego Ideas community. The initial concept began as a creative lockdown escape shared between a Luxembourgish father and son, Patrick Harboun and his son. Their passion project captured thousands of votes from fellow music and building fans, eventually winning the Lego Ideas “Music to Our Ears” challenge back in 2020 and crossing the coveted 10,000-supporter threshold. Now, that fan-created concept is officially moving forward into development as a real Lego set.
“Watching our passion project become part of an official collaboration is an incredible experience, and it’s a reminder of what makes the Lego Ideas community so special. That a simple idea, shared by fans, really can become something much bigger,” Harboun said.
Designed around the famous, highly recognizable pyramid stage from the duo’s legendary 2007 Alive world tour, the upcoming product stands as the ultimate symbol of shared fandom. Cédric Hervet, Creative Director for Daft Punk, noted that because the pyramid stage is such a core part of their visual world, it feels completely fitting for a fan-created design to take center stage.
“Fans have always played an important part in Daft Punk’s story, and we are excited to see that creativity reflected through the LEGO universe,” Hervet said.
A creative journey ahead
Julia Goldin, Chief Product & Marketing Officer at the Lego Group, highlighted that both brands share an enduring appeal and an ability to inspire generations through innovation and creativity.
Beyond just a single product drop, the partnership promises a mashup of surprising events and content crossing music, design and culture.
It doesn’t matter if you have been following the electronic music pioneers since Homework or discovered them later on, this collaboration opens up fresh, unexpected ways to experience the unmistakable world of Daft Punk through the limitless potential of Lego bricks.
