At Global Sources in Hong Kong this week, a phone manufacturer is showing off a smartphone with a 108MP rear camera. Coosea Group is the Chinese company behind the F3 R.
We got to play with the F3 R, but we were told that the software on the phone is not final. That said, its crazy-high megapixel camera worked just fine in our demo. We took a photo of a Yuan bill and afterward we were able to zoom into it and see an incredible amount of detail from it.
Aside from having a record-breaking number of megapixels, the phone has plenty of other solid specs. For starters, it also offers a 48MP wide-angle camera with macro photography. The phone also supports Face ID.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by an MTK Helio P60 Octa-Core 2.0GHZ processor, along with 4GB of Ram and 64GB of storage which can be expanded via SD to 256GB.
The phone’s display is a 6.3-inch FHD+ (2340 x 2080) display with a 90.7% screen-to-body ratio and a waterdrop notch. It comes in a choice of iridescent blue or a neat rainbow iridescent finish which is starting to become more and more common on phones.
When it comes to battery, the F3 R has a nice-sized 4050 mAh battery. Wireless charging and quick charging are both “optional”.
Unfortunately, there is no word on pricing or availability yet for the F3 R smartphone, but Coosea Group does have a web site.
