Announced on Tuesday, January 14th, Virgin Voyages’ 2026 Annual Pass is an adults-only pass that grants holders unlimited access to any Virgin Voyages ship, anytime, from anywhere, for an entire calendar year. But the benefits extend far beyond unlimited cruising. Passholders will also enjoy:
- A week-long stay on Necker Island: Experience the pinnacle of luxury at Sir Richard Branson’s private island in the British Virgin Islands, complete with round-trip business-class flights and ferry transfers from the continental United States.
- Exclusive perks: Indulge in a $10,000 shopping spree at Virgin Voyages’ High Street shops, savor on-demand Moët champagne throughout your cruises, and relax in a personalized RockStar robe.
- Elevated experiences: Enjoy a birthday upgrade to a luxurious RockStar Quarters suite, embark on one curated and privately hosted Shore Thing excursion each quarter, and unwind in a private cabana at Virgin Voyages’ exclusive Beach Club in Bimini up to 10 times per year.
- A touch of paradise: Take home a relaxing Yellow Leaf Hammock as a memento of your extraordinary voyages.
Annual passholders will have the opportunity to sail aboard Virgin Voyages’ fourth and newest ship, Brilliant Lady, which will embark on its maiden voyage to Alaska from Seattle in May 2026. Currently, the cruise line operates three ships that depart from Miami, Barcelona, Athens, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, traveling to 100 ports of call. Passholders can choose a start date of January 1, February 1, March 1, or April 1, 2026, with the pass remaining valid for one year from their selected date.
How much does Virgin Voyages’ 2026 Annual Pass cost?
Luxury comes at a price, and Virgin Voyages’ 2026 Annual Pass is no exception. Priced at $199,000, this exclusive offering represents a substantial increase of $79,000 from the 2025 pass price.
Announced in December 2024, Virgin Voyages’ 2025 Annual Pass is the industry’s first-ever annual pass for unlimited cruising. Priced at $120,000, this first-of-its-kind adventure has piqued the interest of many globetrotters and luxury enthusiasts—so much so that the cruise line announced its 2026 Annual Pass package ahead of schedule.
Nicole Huang, Virgin Voyages’ Senior Vice President of Sailor Experiences, shared in a press release that the cruise line aimed to amplify the excitement generated by its 2025 offering, which debuted during last year’s Travel Tuesday.
“After Richard Branson went on Good Morning America to talk about our Annual Pass, there was so much excitement and buzz,” Huan said. “It’s truly an industry first and there were long queues to learn more. Our voyage planners shared feedback of Sailors inquiring about 2026 now, so we thought ‘why wait?’ and added a few elements to make the package a little suite-r.”
What inspired Virgin Voyages’ Annual Pass?
Virgin Voyages’ launch of its Annual Pass comes in response to the growing trend of extended sailings, a shift largely driven by the rise of remote work post-COVID. Cruise lines are now offering long-term journeys that cater to this new way of life. For example, Royal Caribbean recently completed its Ultimate World Cruise, which gave travelers the chance to explore over 65 countries in a nine-month journey from December 2023 to September 2024.
Meanwhile, residential cruise operator Villa Vie Residences introduced its Tour La Vie program, offering voyages aboard its Villa Vie Odyssey ship with stays ranging from one to four years, making stops at more than 400 destinations. Similarly, Life at Sea Cruises launched a three-year voyage on its MV Gemini, priced at $30,000 per person per year. However, the inaugural sailing in 2023 was reportedly canceled after being rescheduled twice.
This expanding market of long-term cruising provided the perfect inspiration for Virgin Voyages to offer its own version of unlimited luxury travel with the new Annual Pass, tapping into the demand for unique and immersive travel experiences.
