Wireless plans aren’t exactly known for being simple. Between activation fees, upgrade charges, and confusing plan options, it’s easy to lose track of what you’re actually paying for.
Verizon is looking to change that with a new lineup of plans and perks aimed at both new and existing customers. The carrier is introducing a new loyalty program, simplifying its wireless plans, and even bundling mobile and home internet into a single offering.
No More Activation or Upgrade Fees
The biggest change is the company’s new loyalty program, which is split into three different parts. First is the elimination of activation and upgrade fees, saving you up to $40 per device. It’s available for all postpaid customers, and you can opt in through the My Verizon app.
The second part is a cashback system that starts in July. Members will be able to earn 3% back in Verizon Dollars every month just for being customers. This new currency can then be used to redeem new devices, accessories, or items from popular brands like Starbucks, Marriott, Hilton, and Sephora.
Lastly, there is the new Verizon Shine, which offers weekly sweepstakes and daily giveaways. This loyalty scheme lets you win weekly prizes like gift cards, trips, concerts, sporting events, and even VIP access to the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final with David Beckham.
Simplicity Is the New Plan
Verizon is also making its wireless plans easier to understand. The new Simplicity plan starts at $45 a month, while customers who switch can get it for as low as $30 per line. It includes unlimited data, hotspot access, roaming in Canada and Mexico, satellite texting, and access to Verizon’s fastest 5G network.
Additionally, if you’d rather keep everything under one account, you can opt for Verizon One, a plan that combines wireless service and home internet into a single $70 monthly plan. The plan includes taxes and fees, so you’ll be enjoying one plan, one bill, and fewer things to keep track of.
Verizon Is Focusing on Value
Rather than adding more complicated plan options, the carrier is betting that customers want straightforward pricing and perks that reward loyalty. By removing common fees, introducing monthly rewards, and offering plans starting at $30 per line for switchers, the company is making one of its biggest pushes yet to give customers more value without complicating wireless service.
