In a surprising fusion of politics, fashion, and cryptocurrency, former President Donald Trump now has a limited edition pair of sneakers that’s causing quite a stir. The “Trump Crypto President High Tops” in eye-catching Bitcoin orange have hit the market, and sold out within just a few hours.

These flashy high-tops aren’t just any ordinary sneakers. Adorned with the Bitcoin logo and sporting a “Trump Crypto President” label, they’re a bold statement piece for crypto enthusiasts and Trump supporters alike. Each pair features an American flag emblem and is individually numbered for authenticity.

But here’s where it gets interesting: only 1,000 pairs of these loud sneakers were made available, and they sold out quicker than you can mine a Bitcoin block. Originally priced at $499, these limited-edition kicks are now popping up on eBay with wallet-busting price tags ranging from $700 to a whopping $2,500.

For those who missed out on the high-tops, fear not! Pre-orders are available for the more budget-friendly low-top version at $299. And in true crypto fashion, you can even pay with Bitcoin.

The marketing for these sneakers leans heavily into the crypto theme, promising to “celebrate the future of finance.” It’s a far cry from Trump’s previous stance on Bitcoin, which he once called a “scam against the dollar.” Now, he’s positioning himself as the pro-crypto candidate, even promising to build a “strategic Bitcoin stockpile” for the United States.

While the sneakers aren’t directly manufactured or sold by Trump himself (they’re part of a licensing deal with CIC Ventures LLC), they’ve certainly captured the attention of collectors and crypto-enthusiasts. And there is a promise of a few randomly selected pairs being autographed –  presumably by Trump himself.
