For more demanding users, Lenovo is announcing their fourth generation ThinkPad X1 Extreme. The company is also bringing back the updated version of the ThinkPad L13 and the L13 Yoga.
Designed for digital creatives and prosumers, is the updated ThinkPad X1 Extreme that is equipped with an 11th Gen Intel Core i9 H-series processor with optional Intel vPro. It’s built with multiply layers of reinforced carbon fiber for assured durability.
Graphics are powered by up to an NVIDIA RTX 3080. RAM can be configured with up to 64GB and storage up to two 2TB M.2 SSDs. A hybrid cooling system using heat pipes and vapor chambers keeps temperatures down for smoother performance. The keyboard air intake improves airflow through the fans while maintaining spill resistance.
It’s also equipped with a 16-inch display with narrow bezels and up to 4K resolution. With support for Dolby Vision HDR, images produced are vivid and sharp. Low blue light technology offers protection from eye strain during long hours of use.
Additionally, the ThinkPad X1 Extreme offers an integrated fingerprint reader, Windows Hello-capable camera, larger touchpad, Dolby Atmos speakers, and 90Whr battery.
The ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4 will be available starting August of this year and will start at $2149.00.
On their second generation are the ThinkPad L13 and L13 Yoga. For this iteration, the L13 now comes equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5000 PRO series processor with integrated AMD Radeon graphics. It can accommodate up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB SSD for storage.
Housing a 13.3-inch FHD IPS display, the L13 Gen 2 offers productivity features such as Modern Standby, webcam privacy shutter, an optional touch screen display, and backlit keyboards. It also comes with Wi-FI 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and offers USB Type A and Type C ports, microSD card reader, HDMI port, and audio jack.
The ThinkPad L13 Yoga Gen 2 is Lenovo’s first Windows 10 laptop that’s powered by the latest AMD Ryzen Mobile processor. Housing a 13.3-inch screen, this device is designed for mobility and portability.
Also equipped with a 360-degree hinge, this convertible laptop offers an FHD IPS touch display that supports an optional integrated pen. Internally it’s powered by AMD Ryzen 5000 PRO series processors with integrated AMD Radeon graphics as well. It’s supported by up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB SSD storage. The L13 Yoga Gen 2 offers up to 10.6 hours of battery life per day with its 46Whr battery.
The ThinkPad L13 Gen 2 and the L13 Yoga Gen 2 start at $799.00 and $999.00 respectively. Both are expected to be available by August.
