In the spirit of the traditional Halloween celebration, this list starts on a dark and stormy night. There you are, sitting alone in your house, carving pumpkins while you listen to your October playlist. The pouring rain makes you wonder if you should be expecting any trick-or-treaters or if you’ll have those big bowls of candy all to yourself.
Just when you reach for the chisel to complete Mr. Pumpkin’s goofy face, the power goes out and you’re frozen in the pitch blackness of the night. After a few seconds, your eyes adjust to the darkness and you start reaching over the kitchen counter in search of your phone.
