Arriving in the summer of 2025, Alien: Earth thrusts the iconic Alien franchise into a terrifying new setting: our own planet. Set two years before the events of Ridley Scott’s original 1979 film, this prequel follows Wendy (Sydney Chandler), whose body is that of an adult but consciousness that of a child, and a squad of soldiers responding to a mysterious vessel crash-landing on Earth.

Before long, they discover the lethal Xenomorphs lurking within, forcing humanity into a horror unlike anything they’ve faced in deep space. Helmed by Noah Hawley, Alien: Earth merges the claustrophobic dread of the 1979 classic with the relentless action of its successors, making it a must-watch sci-fi horror event in 2025.

Premiering Sunday, February 16, 2025, on HBO and Max, Season 3 of this Emmy-winning anthology transports viewers to another White Lotus property—this time in Thailand—where new guests and staff promise fresh drama and darkly comedic mayhem. Series creator Mike White describes the upcoming chapter as a “satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality,” suggesting a bigger, bolder approach than ever before.

While Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya met her end in Season 2, fan-favorite spa manager Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) returns, joined by newcomers like Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, and Blackpink’s Lisa making her acting debut. Expect eight weekly episodes filled with lavish getaways, interpersonal clashes, and the franchise’s signature sinister twists.

Set to arrive in 2025 on Hulu in the U.S. (and on Disney+ internationally), The Bear Season 4 sees chef Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) scramble to keep his newly rebranded restaurant afloat following Season 3’s cliffhanger. The season will resolve several loose ends, including Sydney’s (Ayo Edebiri) decision about whether to stay at the restaurant or accept Chef Adam’s (Adam Shapiro) offer to become his co-head chef.

Although some fans believe Season 4 could be the last—given rumors of Seasons 3 and 4 being filmed back-to-back and creator Christopher Storer’s busy future projects—nothing is confirmed. Still, with tensions running higher than ever in Carmy’s kitchen, you’ll want to grab a seat for what may be an unforgettable final course.

The final chapter in the saga of the town of Hawkins is slated to arrive on Netflix in 2025. Once again, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and her friends face off against the malevolent Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) as they try to seal the gateway to the Upside Down, saving their hometown from this nightmarish threat.

While co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer have kept specific plot details under wraps, they have confirmed that Season 5 will delve even deeper into the mysterious lore of the Upside Down and resolve the biggest questions that have intrigued audiences from the start. As one of Netflix’s flagship series, viewers can expect Stranger Things (2016-2025) to go out with its most ambitious and emotional adventure yet.

Eight years after the episode USS Callister first premiered, Charlie Brooker’s Emmy-winning anthology returns in 2025 with six new episodes—including the show’s first-ever direct sequel that continues the “Callister” storyline.

The cast includes Peter Capaldi, Emma Corrin, and Awkwafina, as well as returning faces from the original USS Callister plot. While exact story details are kept under wraps, Brooker has teased a shift back toward the show’s techno-horror roots following the more character-based approach of Season 6, promising fans a return to that classic, unsettling Black Mirror style.

Coming to Max in April 2025, this highly anticipated second season will continue Joel’s (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie’s (Bella Ramsey) story five years after the events of season 1. While it adapts elements from The Last of Us Part II (2020 action game), co-creator Craig Mazin has stressed the show will be “its own thing,” rather than a shot-for-shot re-creation.

One notable addition is Catherine O’Hara, joining the cast as an entirely new character. Season 2 will also feature a “less is more” approach—only seven episodes—but will still pack in the emotional stakes and tense encounters with the infected that made the first season so compelling. Expect more insights into Joel and Ellie’s life in Jackson with Tommy (Gabriel Luna), plus new faces and threats lurking on the horizon.

The long-awaited second season of Andor is all set to connect the series to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016 film), chronicling Cassian Andor’s (Diego Luna) evolution into a central figure in the Rebel Alliance. Building on the first season, this chapter will explore his path toward the daring mission to steal the Death Star plans, a cornerstone event in Star Wars history. Fans can also look forward to the return of Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera, Ben Mendelsohn as Director Orson Krennic, and Alan Tudyk as the beloved droid K-2SO.

Season 2 is structured into four three-episode arcs, each representing a year in the Rebel Alliance’s growth. With higher stakes and an expanded exploration of the galaxy’s characters and worlds, this season promises a gripping portrayal of those fighting to dismantle the Empire’s tyranny. Andor Season 2 premieres on April 22, 2025.

Daredevil: Born Again sees Charlie Cox return as Matt Murdock, Hell’s Kitchen’s blind lawyer-turned-vigilante, premiering March 4, 2025. Seven years after Netflix’s original series, this revival promises a fresh take on the rivalry between Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio), focusing on political intrigue rather than physical confrontation.

While both characters attempt to leave their darker personas behind to serve New York legitimately, their past threatens to resurface. The series welcomes back fan favorites Jon Bernthal (Punisher), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), and Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson).

The critically acclaimed psychological thriller returns after a three-year hiatus, premiering January 17, 2025. Season 2 continues to follow Mark Scout’s (Adam Scott) journey within Lumon Industries’ mysterious “severance” program. Following the intense Season 1 finale confrontation with Mr. Milchick, viewers can expect new characters and a deeper exploration of the Gemma Scout mystery.

Executive producer Mohamad El Masri hints at a “natural overlap” that will set up future storylines. The new season is expected to further unravel the complex world where employees’ work and personal memories exist in complete isolation.

This third series in the Game of Thrones universe adapts George R.R. Martin’s beloved Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas. Set a century before the events of Game of Thrones; the story follows Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey), a wandering hedge knight, and his unlikely squire Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell), who secretly harbors a remarkable destiny as future king Aegon V Targaryen.

While the six-episode first season promises a more intimate tale than its predecessors, focusing on the duo’s adventures across Westeros rather than epic battles, it still carries the franchise’s signature blend of political intrigue and personal stakes. Production wrapped in Belfast in September 2024, with the series set to debut in late 2025.
