TCL has just debuted its first-ever 5G tablet in North America — the TCL TAB Pro 5G. The company has also partnered with Verizon that will allow the carrier to offer the tablet as an exclusive offering.
Equipped with a spacious 10.36-inch FHD+ screen, the TCL TAB Pro 5G offers the company’s proprietary NXTVISION technology for enhanced color, clarity, and contrast. It also offers a smooth 60Hz refresh rate and real-time SDR-to-HDR enhancement that improves the image quality of lower resolution videos. Dragontail glass sits on top for protection.
Additionally, the tablet’s screen offers eye safety features including Adaptive Brightness, Reading mode, Dark mode, and Eye comfort mode. Audio is served by dual stereo speakers and there are also dual noise-canceling microphones.
At its heart is a mid-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor supported by 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It allows expansion via microSD card up to 1TB.
For cameras, it offers a simple setup of a 13-megapixel rear and an 8-megapixel front. TCL includes additional features like real-time filters, stop motion mod, AI Sky Enhancement, and Object Eraser to enhance the overall mobile photography experience. The front camera, on the other hand, is designed to be capable enough for video calls offering up to 1080p resolution.
And to provide all-day power, the TAB Pro 5G offers an 8,000mAh battery that can supposedly offer up to 25 days when on standby and up to 17 hours of mixed usage. It’s supported by 18W fast charging that can top up the tablet in about 4 hours.
The TCL TAB Pro 5G, as mentioned earlier, will exclusively be available at Verizon with a $399.99 price tag.
