Taco Bell’s latest taco innovation is based on a recently released Doritos flavor.
Starting February 10th, the new Flamin’ Hot Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos will be available at Taco Bell locations nationwide. The menu item features a crunchy taco shell made of Doritos Flamin’ Hot Cool Ranch chips, which hit shelves last December. Loaded with toppings, the Locos Tacos version of the spicy snack will be available a la carte or in Supreme form for $2.49. See the photo above.
“2022 also marks the 10th anniversary of the first DLT launch at Taco Bell, as well as the Taco Bell brand’s 60th anniversary,” the fast-food chain said in a statement on Monday. “The new Flamin’ Hot Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos provide an opportunity to celebrate the beloved menu item that’s become a staple fan-favorite, but with a new spicy twist.”
In addition to the Flamin’ Hot Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos, Taco Bell has also added two new chicken items to its menu: the Cantina Crispy Chicken Tacos and the Cantina Crispy Chicken Tortada .
The Cantina Crispy Chicken Tacos come in two varieties: the Cantina Crispy Chicken Taco with Chipotle and the Cantina Crispy Chicken Taco with Avocado Ranch. Both varieties feature crispy white meat chicken marinated in a jalapeño buttermilk sauce and rolled in a crispy tortilla chip coating then topped with shredded lettuce, shredded cheddar, and freshly diced tomatoes in a soft flour taco shell.
The Cantina Crispy Chicken Taco with Chipotle adds a creamy chipotle sauce to the mix while the Cantina Crispy Chicken Taco with Avocado Ranch adds avocado ranch sauce. Both varieties are now available for around $2.39 each and can also be ordered as part of the Cantina Crispy Chicken Taco Deluxe Box.
The Cantina Crispy Chicken Taco Deluxe Box includes your choice of Cantina Crispy Chicken Taco variety along with a Chalupa Supreme with seasoned beef, a Crunchy Taco, a Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, and a medium drink. Though prices vary by location, the deluxe box is generally priced at around $6.99.
The Cantina Crispy Chicken Tortada, meanwhile, features the same fixings as the Cantina Crispy Chicken Tacos but is wrapped in a tortilla and grilled. It is available at around $4.99.
It’s not clear how long all these new menu items will be available at Taco Bell, so taco fans must give them a try as soon as possible.
