T-Mobile is attempting to shake up the wireless game once again with a plan that’ll make you want to connect every gadget in your house to their network.
Remember the days when connecting your smartwatch or tablet to a cellular network cost more than your monthly Netflix subscription? Well, T-Mobile is saying “bye-bye” to those days.
For $5 per month per device, you can now hook up your smartwatches, tablets, and even laptops to T-Mobile’s network. You can’t even get a decent latte for that price anymore. The caveat is that this applies only to T-Mobile’s Go5G Next and Go5G Business Next plans.
AT&T and Verizon are charging up to four times more for the same service.
But wait, there’s more! T-Mobile is covering the price difference between Wi-Fi-only devices and their cellular-enabled counterparts. That means that certain cellular-enabled smartwatches, tablets and even select laptops are the same price as Wi-Fi only versions when you purchase them from T-Mobile.
And that savings extends to select laptops not sold at T-Mobile. If it’s certified to work on T-Mobile’s network, you can get up to $200 back when connecting to T-Mobile. Ultimately, this means you can snag that fancy cellular smartwatch or tablet without having to spend more for the 5G model.
Now, for all you laptop lovers out there that don’t have built-in 5G connectivity, T-Mobile is introducing an affordable portable hotspot, the TCL LINKPORT IK511. It’s going for under $50 for a limited time.
T-Mobile also announced that their Protection<360> plan now includes unlimited claims for accidental damage, including unlimited $0 screen repairs. Drop your phone more times than you can count? No problem. T-Mobile’s got you covered, literally.
