Stranger Things season 4 finally premiered on Netflix last week. And because of the show’s three-year hiatus, the new season expectedly brought with it a lot of excitement. But aside from its darker and denser storylines, the latest batch of episodes also introduced a minor yet interesting change for Netflix itself.
Stranger Things season 4 Netflix intro
As pointed out by ComicBook.com, season 4 opens with a new Netflix intro. The first three seasons of the show, as well as the majority of other Netflix originals, start with the generic animation featuring the Netflix logo and the iconic “Tudum” sound. But in honor of the return of the fan-favorite series, its season 4 opening features the Netflix logo against a reddish sky, complete with booming thunder and lightning strikes. Ominous creature sounds also overlap with the “Tudum” sound, creating a spooky yet very fitting intro.
It remains to be seen, however, whether upcoming original Netflix content will have a similar customized opening moving forward.
