Starbucks has kicked off 2022 by bringing back Pistachio Latte to its menu.
First offered last January, Pistachio Latte is again available at participating U.S. and Canadian locations for a limited time this winter. Inspired by a beverage that first launched at Starbucks Reserve Roasteries, Pistachio Latte is made with espresso and steamed milk combined with a sauce made with real pistachios and a salted, brown, buttery topping. Like all Starbucks lattes, Pistachio latte can be ordered hot or iced.
Pistachio Latte is just one of the many beverages that debuted at Starbucks Roasteries before officially launching at stores. Other drinks on that list include Nitro Cold Brew and seasonal beverages, like Cascara Latte, Smoked Butterscotch Latte, and Juniper Latte.
Also back at Starbucks for the whole month of January is the coffee giant’s Meatless Mondays. Under this month-long promotion, the Seattle-based coffeehouse chain is offering $2 off its Impossible Breakfast Sandwich at participating stores across the country, while supplies last. Customers can avail the offer on the Starbucks app, in Starbucks stores, and through Starbucks Delivers on the Uber Eats app.
With the return of Pistachio Latte and the latest round of Meatless Mondays promotion, Starbucks confirmed to USA Today that pumpkin drinks and holiday beverages will no longer be served at stores.
Starbucks made headlines at the end of 2021 after a bogus announcement claimed that the coffeehouse chain is nixing the extra charge for adding plant-based milk to its drinks. To refute the fake news, Starbucks released an official statement saying the announcement is “false” and the website that sent out the press release to reporters is not associated with the company.
