Samsung has been one of many brands to have adopted smart technology into a number of home appliances including their washers and dryers. Today the company is unveiling the latest front loader washer and dryer in its 8800 series and it runs on artificial intelligence.
The redesigned models come with a new Smart Dial. This feature is able to learn the user’s most used or preferred cycles and settings and it saves them for quick access. Additional features include customization of cycle lists and language selection. And if the washer and dryer are stacked, users can operate the dryer right from the washer’s Smart Dial.
The company further aims to offer more smart features with a “first-of-its-kind AI Control.” With this feature, cycle settings are automatically optimized by the washer. It will be able to choose the correct or appropriate cleaning cycle, determine the correct amount of detergent, and even adjust settings while a current cycle is ongoing.
The dryer, on the other hand, is also able to intelligently optimize its settings. With this AI tech, the dryer is able to distinguish if clothes are still wet and will automatically stop when they are dry. This eliminates the need to check and adjust settings every so often to get fully dried clothes. The washer and dryer are also equipped with Super Speed cycles that can complete a full cycle in just an hour.
