Samsung packs a lot of machine into their $349 Notebook Flash

Samsung's $349 Notebook Flash laptop is a retro-looking gem 1

Samsung just announced the price and release date of their Notebook Flash, a fab looking budget laptop that runs full Windows 10. It’s a fully capable 13.3″ laptop with a 10-hour battery that packs a solid amount of tech for the price.

While the look and feel is definitely unique, there’s nothing about it that screams “budget”. It has a beautiful form factor, weighs just 3 lbs, and measures .67″ thick. Inside is a retro-looking typewriter style keyboard with a textured finish that really pops.

The Samsung Notebook Flash packs an Intel Celeron N4000, which is where most of the cost savings comes from. For an extra $50 ($399.99 in total) you can upgrade to an Intel Pentium Silver N5000. There’s 4GB of memory, 64GB of solid state storage, 802.11ac gigabit wifi, and a 13.3″ LED anti-glare 1920×1080 display. Additionally, there’s a fingerprint detector, webcam, and a bunch of ports including USB C, USB 3.0, HDMI, and a memory card reader.

Having gone 10-hour before we knew it was the “budget” machine, we are certainly impressed. It’s a good-looking laptop with a lot of personality. We wouldn’t mind some extra RAM, but otherwise find the specs to be more than reasonable for the price.

For $349.99, it’s a great machine for anyone looking for a Windows laptop that can handle moderate usage. It will have no problem with web browsing and word processing. We also appreciate that it even offers a variety of ports!

Samsung’s Notebook Flash will be available on January 15 from Amazon and Samsung.com.
