Today, Samsung revealed the Notebook 9 Pen, its latest 2-in-1 PC designed for creative types. Described as stylish, powerful, and portable, Notebook 9 Pen “is engineered to fit the needs of busy professionals”. At the heart of it all is the wholly redesigned S Pen.
Samsung’s engineers were tasked with creating an electronic pen that interacts with the computer in the same way an actual pen does with paper. In taking on the challenge, Samsung has created the company’s most responsive and accurate digital pen to date that should help take your sketches, notes, and diagrams to the next level. The S Pen is even customizable – you can swap in your choice of three different pen tips which really help emulate that pen-to-paper feeling.
Packed inside the ultra-thin Notebook 9 are a pair of AKG stereo speakers, configurable LPDDR3 RAM and SSD storage, as well as an 8th-gen Intel Core i7. The 13.3-inch model weighs just 2.47 lbs and the 15-inch models weigh in at just 3.44 lbs.
The exterior is fashioned from sleek, lightweight aluminum, which Samsung says offers a “premium look and feel.”
Samsung will be releasing the Notebook 9 Pen as a 13-inch and 15-inch device. Both versions will be available in the U.S. in 2019. According to the official website, prices start at the $1300 mark.
