POCO has just introduced its first Dimensity-powered smartphone, the POCO M3 Pro 5G. Powered by a flagship-level MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor, the POCO M3 Pro brings is equipped to deliver high-level performance and long battery life for a super low price of just €159.
Accompanying the Dimensity 700 5G processor is up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. It also has a 5G modem integrated which allows for two 5G SIM cards to be active at the same time. With the Mali-G57 GPU, the POCO M3 Pro offers an additional 30% of performance density and energy efficiency.
The POCO M3 Pro houses a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD DotDisplay with a 90Hz refresh rate. The POCO M3 Pro also offers DynamicSwitch display that allows users to cycle between 30Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz, and 90Hz to help save on power. The front is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to withstand minor scratches or nicks. As for its colorways, the POCO M3 Pro comes in either Power Black, POCO Yellow, or Cool Blue.
Additionally, the display offers 360-degree light detection that allows it to automatically adjust its brightness to the most optimal setting. With its 3D curved back, the POCO M3 Pro is designed to have a good in-hand feel. It also houses a complete set of ports and features including a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, and an IR blaster.
On the imaging front, the POCO M3 Pro is equipped with an AI triple camera setup for the rear and an 8-megapixel front camera.
The rear camera is made up of a 48-megapixel main, 2-megapixel macro, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The all-around setup headlined by the 48-megapixel main shooter allows users to capture clear and detailed images even in low-light. With software enhancements and features, users are presented with tools like Night mode, Time-lapse, and timed burst that they can use to enhance their photos.
For power, it’s carrying a 5000mAh battery that the company says can last up to 2 days or more. The phone supports 18W fast charging and comes with a 22.5W charger in the box.
The POCO M3 Pro comes in two variants — 4GB + 64GB and 6GB +128GB and is priced at €179 and €199) respectively but POCO will be offering an early bird price of €159 (4GB+64GB) and €179(6GB +128GB). The early bird price is available through e-commerce platforms and will run from May 20th until May 22nd.
