Pizza Hut has brought back one of its most popular pizzas just in time for summer.
The Edge, a premium thin-crust pizza packed with toppings all the way to the edge, is now being offered at select Pizza Hut locations across the U.S., more than a decade after it left the menu. First released in 1997, the Edge has made a few comebacks since then, but its most recent re-release was back in 2009.
Leaving no room for traditional crust and making every bite the best bite, The Edge uses Thin ‘N Crispy dough, the first type of dough ever used by Pizza Hut when it opened its doors to customers in 1958. Considered a tavern-style pizza, the handcrafted pizza is cut into 16 squares and comes on a cracker-thin crust, which has a noticeable crunch and is sturdy enough to hold all the toppings. As for its taste, the Edge is perfectly balanced with a touch of sweetness from the signature tomato sauce and the savory flavors of the loaded toppings and exclusive garlic and herb seasoning.
The Edge pizza are available in four distinct variants: the Ultimate, which is packed with pepperoni, Italian sausage, green peppers, onions and Roma tomatoes; the Carnivore, which is loaded with pepperoni, ham, Italian sausage and bacon; the Vegetarian, which features green peppers, onions, mushrooms and Roma tomatoes; and the Pepperoni Lover’s, which is topped with an enormous amount of pepperoni.
“The Edge is a pizza our customers constantly ask us to bring back. Anyone who loves thin crust pizzas loaded with toppings will love the Edge,” Pizza Hut general manager David Graves said in a news release, adding that the bold flavor and aroma of the Edge seasoning will instantly transport consumers back to a Pizza Hut.
All four variants of the Edge are available now for a limited time at participating Pizza Hut locations nationwide for contactless delivery, carryout, curbside, and Hut Lane pickup for just $12.99 each.
