Burger King Japan has done it again—introducing a menu item so strange, specific, and perfectly tuned to internet curiosity that it’s already blowing up online: the Pickleball Burger.

Yes, it’s real. And yes, it comes with exactly 11 pickles.

This limited-time burger is a collaboration between Burger King Japan and the Pickleball Japan Federation, tapping into the sport’s growing popularity—and maybe the niche overlap between pickleball fans and experimental eaters.

For those not familiar with the sport, Pickleball is a paddle sport that blends aspects of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong.

So what’s inside this new burger? The Pickleball Burger stacks three flame-grilled beef patties, 11 pickle slices, and swaps traditional bread for grilled rice patties as buns.

The unique rice buns were created in collaboration with Hachidaime Gihey, a traditional rice retailer based in Kyoto. It’s equal parts protein bomb and novelty, with a dash of Japan’s signature flair for inventive fast food.

While this won’t be making its way to American menus anytime soon, the Pickleball Burger shows how far fast food brands will go to spark buzz. Whether it’s a marketing stunt or the start of a rice-bun revolution, one thing’s clear: Burger King Japan knows how to keep the internet talking.

The Pickleball Burger is now available in Japan priced at 1,790 yen.
