Just when you thought the news cycle couldn’t get any weirder, another batch of official UFO files has dropped. This one features footage that looks straight out of a sci-fi blockbuster.
The Pentagon, via the Department of War, has officially released its fifth set of declassified Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) documents and footage under the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE) initiative.
Tracked on camera: A metallic orb flying over neighborhoods
Among the newly published files, one specific video has instantly grabbed everyone’s attention online. Footage shows a mysterious spherical object flying at high speeds directly over a residential neighborhood at an undisclosed location in the Middle East in 2025.
Additional footage captured in 2021 over the Gulf of Oman appears to show a dark “cold orb” moving in irregular patterns. At first glance, the cold orb looks like a housefly darting over the camera frame. It was later identified as a UAP measuring around 4 feet (1.2 metres) in diameter.
One encounter occurred in 2019 when footage showed a round sphere hovering over the Pacific Ocean, disappearing and then reappearing.
Bizarre flight patterns
Rather than moving like a standard drone, commercial plane, or bird, the object zips over populated areas with no visible thermal plume or even a traditional means of propulsion that we are used to in our aircraft.
The orb maintained a stable, high-speed horizontal trajectory directly over residential rooftops without showing any of the drag, aerodynamic turbulence, or altitude dips that you would see in our typical aircraft flying close to the ground.
Military sensors working overtime
The military sensors had to pull off some serious mechanical and optical heavy lifting just to keep that orb in the frame. U.S. officials’ descriptions noted that military optical sensors tracking the events had to continuously pan from left to right while adjusting collection modes and magnification levels just to keep the sphere centered as it zipped across the sky.
Rather than tracking heat exhaust or a typical radar signature, which would have been the usual way to go with man-made crafts, the sensors had to lock onto the sharp contrast between the glowing metallic orb and the background landscape as it sped over the residential area.
Eye witness encounter
The new set of released files showed a declassified FBI document claiming a former military pilot spotted mysterious lights in the sky during an October 2023 flight from Boston to Dublin. According to the pilot, many other aviators have reported similar encounters occurring between midnight and 3:00 AM.
The pilot described the white lights as initially faint before steadily brightening and then fading away completely. While some remained stationary, others traveled in straight lines or changed direction. Since that initial 2023 sighting, he noted seeing variations of these strange lights at least ten times.
What else is inside the new release?
This latest batch comprises 41 separate records and includes everything from CIA notes to sensor recordings and artistic renderings. Other highlights from the release include:
- Massive silent triangles: Documents detailing sightings of silent, 500-foot-wide triangular craft hovering near military bases.
- Middle East encounters: Video tracking mysterious flying objects operating over combat zones in the Middle East.
- Historical accounts: Declassified historical records, including a 1963 investigation into reports of an alleged “dead spaceman” in Brazil. The investigation alleged there was a sighting of a large metal manned balloon with a “dead crewman” aboard, wearing a strange uniform or space suit.
Are we really alone in the universe?
These newly declassified records leave scientists, government officials, and the public grappling with the same question: are we alone?
Authorities may claim we are, but the sheer frequency of these encounters, combined with advanced, physics-defying maneuvers, says otherwise.
One thing is certain: as more of this declassified footage and files come to light, humanity may find proof of something beyond our world. Or not.
