Korean startup Litbig has quickly established itself as a force to be reckoned with in the world of AI-powered automotive technology. This innovative company is on a mission to revolutionize the way drivers interact with our vehicles and the world around us.
At the core of Litbig’s offerings is their surround view monitoring (SVM) system and AI-based Vision Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). This isn’t your typical cruise control, folks. Litbig’s ADAS is like having a hyper-intelligent co-pilot that’s always scanning the road ahead, ready to react faster than you can say “holy smokes!”. To that effect, the system can also tell if the driver is smoking, or drinking, or drowsy, or is in any possibly compromising state, and it will warn them with an alert.
Their QuadEYE system offers a full 3D surround view recording system with motion object detection (MOD). Essentially, it’s an SVM + MOD + DVR with real-time driving recording all-in-one. The system offers a unique 2D/3D surround view monitor that helps drivers to park more safely by offering a 360 degree recording. Using (you’ve guessed it!) four cameras, QuadEYE completely checks all the vehicle’s surroundings for hazards and obstacles. Drivers can move around the cameras using a 3D touch panel.
But Litbig isn’t content with just making our drives safer. They’re also cooking up a smorgasbord of solutions and products for future cars that’ll make your current ride look like a horse and buggy. We’re talking next-level connectivity, intuitive interfaces, and features that’ll make you feel like you’re living in a sci-fi movie – minus the alien invasions, of course.
They’re developing a digital headlamp that serves not only the driver and passengers, but also pedestrians – at night, the lamp projects out of the car and can create a virtual crosswalk to aid whoever needs to cross the street.
They’ve also developed a broadcast receiving solution for vehicles that can use all types of radio solutions globally; that means everything from Korea developed DMB, to Sirius XM, Dab+, and AM/FM – effectively making it easier for car manufacturers to export their vehicles to other countries.
To date, Litbig’s automotive technologies have already been installed in 10 million Korean cars, primarily in Kia’s and Hyundai’s.
Ultimately, Litbig’s tech can easily be outfitted for trucks, buses, and heavy machinery too. The company hopes to capture the attention of international car manufacturers, who will welcome integrating Litbig technology into their car’s systems.
At the upcoming CES 2025 show in Las Vegas, Litbig will be showing off their AI-based integrated vision cockpit platform. It’s going to be lit!
