At this year’s Tech World, Lenovo is unveiling three new premium laptops to aid users in the new age of hybrid work. These include the Windows 11-ready Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 Carbon and a creator-focused Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 Pro.
Prioritizing portability, the IdeaPad Slim 7 Carbon is a thin and light laptop that measures just 14.9mm in thickness and weighs in at 1.1 kilograms. It’s equipped with a 14-inch Samsung OLED display with support for Dolby Vision, VESA DisplayHDR, and with TrueBlack 500 certification for a premium visual experience. For audio, it offers an integrated Dolby Atmos speaker system with four front-facing speakers.
Thermals are handled by Lenovo Q-Control which uses AI-enabled Intelligent Cooling modes that auto-adjusts according to the scenario. It’s equipped with Rapid Charge technology that can provide up to 3 hours of use with just 15 minutes of charging. It offers up to 14.5 hours total lifespan.
With the rise of creators in the hybrid space, the IdeaPad Slim 7 Pro offers and light and powerful device with high-end internals.
At just 2.1kg and 17.4mm thin, the device is lightweight and portable but also tough. It’s available in Cloud Gray or Storm Grey colors.
The large 16-inch QHD IPS display is also a touch screen and offers a high 120Hz refresh rate with Dolby Vision, VESA Certified DisplayHDR400, and support for 100 percent sRGB color gamut as well.
It’s partnered with an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 5800U processor with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics for a high-powered, high-performing machine. It’s supported by up to 16GB of RAM and a 1TB PCIe M.2 SSD internal storage.
Both IdeaPad devices are also Windows 11 ready.
The IdeaPad Slim 7 Carbon and the IdeaPad Slip 7 Pro are expected to retail for $1,289.99 and $1,449 respectively. The laptops are expected to release in October of this year.
