Nearly thirty years after the Hero of Time first stepped into the crumbling remains of Ganon’s Castle, the most iconic showdown in gaming history is moving from the screen to your shelf. LEGO has officially unveiled its latest Legend of Zelda masterpiece, a tribute to the 1998 N64 classic Ocarina of Time that captures every heart-pounding detail of Link and Princess Zelda’s final stand against Ganon. The new building set taps straight into nostalgia, but there’s more to this set than a simple throwback—hidden within the brick-built ruins are clever interactive features and nostalgic Easter eggs that only a true Hylian scholar will recognize.

LEGO reimagines one of the N64’s most iconic showdowns in a new Zelda set

Following months of anticipation and cryptic teasers, LEGO and Nintendo have finally pulled back the curtain on their latest collaboration—and it’s a direct hit of 90s nostalgia. Moving away from the sprawling greenery of the Great Deku Tree (the subject of the first-ever LEGO Zelda set), the new LEGO Zelda Ocarina of Time: The Final Battle set focuses on the high-stakes, fiery finale of the 1998 masterpiece.

Unveiled on January 16, this 1,003-piece diorama transports builders to the heart of a crumbling Hyrule Castle Town. The set is anchored by a Triforce-emblazoned base that captures the dark, cinematic atmosphere of Link and Princess Zelda’s ultimate confrontation with Ganondorf and the latter’s fearsome transformation into Ganon, which dominates the scene with dramatic presence.

The set features a star-studded lineup of minifigures, including Link, Princess Zelda, and the cunning Ganondorf. However, the true centerpiece is a massive, fully poseable, brick-built Ganon. Armed with his signature dual greatswords, this beastly transformation towers over the heroes, perfectly recreating the scale of the original N64 boss fight.

LEGO has also tucked several Easter eggs and interactive elements into the ruins for eagle-eyed fans:

  • Destructible Terrain: A dedicated pile of rubble allows the Ganondorf minifigure to “burst” out of the wreckage.
  • Hidden Loot: Tucked away in the debris, you’ll find a stash of three recovery hearts and the heavy-hitting Megaton Hammer.
  • A Familiar Friend: The set includes a specialized stand for Navi, ensuring Link’s fairy companion is right by his side during the fray.

Combining a challenging build with incredible display value, this set serves as a definitive tribute to the game that defined a generation.

How much the LEGO Zelda Ocarina of Time: The Final Battle set costs—and when you can get it

While Zelda’s LEGO debut—the massive 2-in-1 Great Deku Tree—was a dream come true for collectors, its $300 price tag left many fans’ wallets feeling like they’d been hit by Link’s “Spin Attack.” Fortunately, the Ocarina of Time: The Final Battle set offers a much more accessible entry point into the world of brick-built Hylian lore.

Priced at $130, this new set comes in at less than half the cost of its predecessor. Despite its cheaper price tag, it still feels premium without pushing too far into collector-only territory. It’s an encouraging sign that future LEGO Zelda sets could span a wider range of sizes and prices, giving fans a chance to build their collection without needing a “Giant’s Wallet” to hold all their cash.

The LEGO Zelda Ocarina of Time: The Final Battle set is available for preorder now and will officially launch on March 1.
