Miss traveling? Emirates has just released an app that will give you an airline experience from the comfort of your own home. To that effect, the airline has introduced a new virtual reality experience, available online, through a mobile app, or with an Oculus headset, that lets users explore airplane cabins, lounges, and more.

This isn’t the company’s first VR project, though. In 2018, Emirates was the first airline to intro VR technology on its platforms including an airplane tour that passengers could use to familiarize themselves with the aircraft before boarding. This time, they are the first airline to launch an Oculus VR app.

The VR experience on Oculus includes the ability to navigate through Economy, Business, and First Class cabins of either the flagship A380 aircraft or the Boeing 777-300ER. With the use of Oculus’ controllers, users can pick up items from the Onboard Lounge and even turn on the shower or close the doors of a private cabin. The cockpit is also accessible.

For users on the web and on the app, the experience is a little different. You’ll be able to view the aircraft in 3D with 360-degree views. A 3D seat map directs you to your seat and you’ll also be able to explore certain areas of the aircraft. For a more immersive experience, you can use a VR headset or stick your phone into a Google Cardboard.
