Smart glasses are nothing new, but the Solos AirGo 3 are among the first smart glasses to come with ChatGPT integration. To that effect, the AirGo 3 combines the AI-powered features of ChatGPT with in-house developed smart glasses technology by Solos.

To top it all off, they also offer real-time translation features, as well as support for listening to music and making calls.

Solos says that it is reimagining the potential of smart glasses. To achieve this, the Solos AirGo 3 incorporated multiple hardware features, with one of the most notable being the “earbuds” integrated into the temples of the smart glasses.

The speakers inside the glasses serve as earbud replacements and enable situational awareness, effectively providing crisp and clear audio at volumes of up to 100 decibels. This allows users to enjoy music, podcasts, calls, and notifications without needing to reach for their smartphones.

Solos has also introduced its “Patented Whisper Technology”, boasting advanced speech recognition capabilities that work seamlessly in noisy environments.

The success and distinctiveness of the Solos AirGo 3 will depend on its speech recognition capabilities, which play a pivotal role in understanding and executing user instructions. For instance, the primary standout feature of the Solos AirGo 3 is conversational AI through a ChatGPT integration with the Solos’ app, SoloChat.

The glasses listen to user instructions and communicates them to the SolosChat app, and then leverages the ChatGPT integration and text-to-speech capabilities to provide responses and share insights.

The Solos AirGo 3 also offers live language translation capabilities, relying on the glasses’ ability to listen in on a conversation, translate it in real-time, and deliver the translated speech to the user through the built-in speakers.

The Solos AirGo 3 also features replaceable front frames that can be disconnected from the temples using its SmartHinge. The SmartHinge connects various front frame designs to the temples through a USB Type-C connector and USB Type-C port.

Other interesting features of the Solos AirGo 3 include a Solos Fitness Coach, which provides workout metrics, health/wellness information, and reminders. There’s also a “Whisper Messages and Events” feature that discreetly delivers messages from text-based applications like WhatsApp and iMessage directly into the user’s ear. Additionally, Solos offers a prescription lens solution for users to customize their Solos AirGo 3 with the right lenses.

Lastly, the Solos AirGo 3 promises up to 10 hours of music on a single charge and provides IP67 waterproof-level protection.
