Whether you’re rooting for or desperately against a Chiefs three-peat, there’s one thing we can all agree on when it comes to the Super Bowl — it’s the best excuse of the year to buy a new TV. This year, it might finally be time to take the plunge into OLED. Not only have OLED TVs come down in price significantly over the past few years, Best Buy currently has some steep discounts ahead of Super Bowl Sunday on some of the best OLED TVs of the past year.
OLED panels are made of individually lit pixels that don’t require a backlight, giving these TVs unparalleled contrast ratios—dark areas of the screen remain black without light from a backlight panel filtering through.
That makes OLED the perfect choice for the big game, and thanks to 120Hz and faster refresh rates on most high-end screens, these new TVs can keep up with the fast-paced action of sports and video games alike. All that’s left to do is throw down for a big enough TV to make sure everyone can enjoy the action on Super Bowl Sunday — and for you to enjoy that big screen every other day of the year.
65-inch OLED TVs
Sony BRAVIA XR A95L OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV (2023)
With Sony moving to Mini LED for its flagship TVs last year, the 2023 Bravia XR A95L still holds up as one of the best 65-inch OLED TVs on the market. A 120Hz refresh rate and Sony’s XR OLED Motion processing keep gameday action smooth, preventing blur. Sony has held the price of this TV steady since its release, so $500 off a top-of-the-line TV is looking like a great deal.
LG C4 Series OLED evo 4K UHD Smart webOS TV (2024)
If you want to save a little more money at the 65-inch size, LG’s C4 TV is in LG’s second tier of TVs, but still has one of LG’s excellent OLED evo panels. This TV still has premium features like HDR10 support. Blur prevention and brightness might not be as impressive, but with $300 off a price point that was already over $1,000 lower than more premium models, the C4 series is a strong value pick.
77-inch OLED TVs
Sony BRAVIA XR A80L OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV (2023)
The Sony Bravia XR A80L might not be in the premium line, but it’s awfully hard to turn down an even larger OLED panel for almost two-thirds the price of the premium 65-inch option. If you’re looking for value, getting this TV for almost a third of the price knocked off might make it one of the best price-to-performance options on this list.
Samsung S84D Series 4K OLED Smart Tizen TV
Over half off a 77-inch OLED TV — what else is there to say? Well, here’s a little more. The Samsung S84D OLED TV is compatible with HRD10+, and is all-around one of the best entry-level OLED TVs available. We could go on, but ultimately, it’s a 77-inch OLED TV from one of the most trusted brands in the industry for $1,600. Tough to say no to that.
LG G4 Series OLED evo 4K UHD Smart webOS TV with One Wall Design (2024)
The Super Bowl party is your time to go big. So, we’ve got to include a great deal on the 77-inch option in LG’s premium G4 OLED evo line. The G4 series features LG’s most advanced image processing, giving you the clarity and sharpness you need for watching fast-paced action. If the 77-inch size fits your wall just right and you’re looking for a premium option, $800 off this panel is the best deal we’re seeing at Best Buy right now.
83-inch OLED TVs
Sony BRAVIA XR A80L OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV (2023)
The larger 83-inch version of the 77-inch Bravia XR A80L TV we mentioned above has also gotten an $800 discount, so if you’ve got some extra wall space to fill, you’ll still get a great deal with the larger television here.
Samsung S85D Series OLED 4K Smart Tizen TV (2024)
Another entry from Samsung’s entry-level OLED panels, and another steep discount. The savings aren’t as eye-opening as the price cut on the 77-inch panel above, but $1,000 off an 83-inch OLED TV isn’t something we ignore. If you know you’re going to be happier in the long term with the larger television, it’s worth investing in the larger 83-inch screen at this price.
LG C4 Series OLED evo 4K UHD Smart webOS TV (2024)
LG’s best discounted 83-inch TV on Best Buy is the C4 model, their second-tier offering. Like the 65-inch panel we mentioned earlier, the 83-inch C4 TV is a strong value pick that retains premium features like HDR10 support. The G4 line might have stronger image processing, but we can accept a little less to get 83 inches of OLED for $1,200 off the asking price.
