Ben & Jerry’s has a new ice cream flavor and it may be its chunkiest flavor to date.
Called Ben & Jerry’s Chewy Gooey Cookie, the new ice cream innovation features milk chocolate and coconut ice creams with fudge flakes, shortbread cookies, and caramel swirls.
“This flavor is loaded. Period. You cannot add any more chunks than what we’ve packed in there,” said Craig Koskiniemi, the Flavor Guru who led the development of Chewy Gooey Cookie, in a statement. “It has a perfect balance of milk chocolate and coconut as a base, the caramel swirl for sweetness, and a great cookie crunch for texture. Ben & Jerry’s fans are going to love it.”
Ben & Jerry’s Chewy Gooey Cookie is now available in Scoop Shops and supermarkets nationwide at a suggested retail price of $4.99 to $5.49. The new ice cream flavor will also be available in a caramel-lined waffle cone at participating Scoop Shops across the country in the coming weeks.
The launch of Ben & Jerry’s Chewy Gooey Cookie follows the release of two new additions to the brand’s popular Topped line last January. These were the Topped Chocolate Milk & Cookies and the Topped Dirt Cake.
Ben & Jerry’s Topped Chocolate Milk & Cookies is a chocolate ice cream with chocolate chip cookies and chocolate cookie swirls, topped with milk chocolatey ganache and fudge chips.
Ben & Jerry’s Topped Dirt Cake, meanwhile, is a vanilla pudding ice cream with chocolate sandwich cookies and chocolate cookie swirls, topped with milk chocolatey ganache and chocolate cookie crumble.
