Just weeks after announcing the latest AirPods, Apple is back with another pair of “true wireless” earbuds by way of its Beats division. Set for a May release, the Powerbeats Pro earbuds are arguably the most groundbreaking headphones from Beats in years. That’s because, unlike the original Powerbeats, the Pros are now totally wireless, and they come packing the same H1 chip found inside the second gen AirPods.
Said to be 17% lighter and 23% smaller than the originals, the new Powerbeats Pro model offers a better in-ear fit, newly designed charging case, and new features like automatic pause/resume, which “will pause your music when you remove one or both earbuds and then start playing again once they’re back in.”
What’s more, the improved battery means you’ll get up to 9 hours of playback and more than 24 hours of combined playback when charging it up with the included magnetic closure case.
Buyers can choose from a number of color options, including black, ivory, moss, and navy. The Powerbeats Pro will retail for $250.

Keep an eye out for our upcoming review of the Powerbeats Pro.
