Barbie’s latest travel toy collection includes a helicopter and a private Dream plane.

The new collection features 7 travel dolls based on characters from the Netflix series Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures. These characters are Barbie, her best friend Daisy, and her sisters Skipper, Stacie, and Chelsea. Barbie’s love interest Ken and her close friend Nikki also get a travel doll of their own.

Each travel doll comes with different travel items like bags, neck pillows, headphones, cameras and the like. But since this particular collection highlights Barbie and Daisy’s friendship and their love for travel, the travel dolls for the two come with more accessories than the travel dolls for the other characters.

The travel helicopter included in the collection is the first ever toy chopper in the history of the Barbie brand.  Featuring a pink and blue body with silvery accents, the two-seater helicopter can easily be identified as one of Barbie’s vehicles. Though the toy helicopter doesn’t actually fly, its rotors do spin, making children’s imaginative play a little more real.

Dubbed as Dream Plane, the collection’s private plane can accommodate a maximum of two passengers at a time. It features overhead bins for luggage storage, reclining seats, and a service cart with trays of food and beverages.

The travel dolls currently sell on retails for $17, while the travel helicopter retails for $17. Though showcased at last month’s New York Toy Fair, the Dream Plane won’t hit the shelves until the fall.

In line with this new travel Barbie collection, Mattel, the company that manufactures Barbie, is also launching a travel app that allows users to travel the globe with Barbie. Integrated with augmented reality technology, this educational app gives users the chance to interact with animals, plants, and people featured in the app. The Barbie travel app will launch worldwide in April.
