In a world where our brains are constantly bombarded with information, keeping ourselves cognitively sharp has never been more crucial. But for kids grappling with ADHD and older adults facing the specter of pre-dementia, the struggle is real.

Enter EYAS, a digital cognitive rehabilitation solution that’s turning – or should we say sharpening – heads in the Korean healthcare tech space. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill brain training app – EYAS is bringing some serious firepower to help these specific groups level up their cognitive game.

Designed with the unique challenges of ADHD in children and pre-dementia in the elderly in mind, EYAS is like a tailor-made brain gym for those who need it most. It’s not about one-size-fits-all anymore: this digital dynamo is zeroing in on the cognitive quirks that make focusing a Herculean task for kids with ADHD and memory a slippery fish for older adults worried about cognitive decline.

EYAS, which stands for Eye-ear-Attention System, provided by Korean tech manufacturer InTheTech, is like a personal trainer for the user’s brain, whether the person is a child with ADHD or an elderly adult showing signs of pre-dementia. Developed by a team of brainiacs who’ve been diving deep into cognitive and brain science research, the system is designed to give individuals the targeted brain workout they deserve.

At the heart of EYAS is some pretty nifty tech. We’re talking eye-tracking capabilities and an audio-visual system. This isn’t just about staring at a screen and tapping buttons – EYAS is watching you watch it, creating a feedback loop that’s as smart as it is effective.

Just like you wouldn’t skip leg day at the gym, EYAS makes sure you’re hitting all those cognitive muscle groups. The system packs over 60 training exercises with six core training modules focused (no pun intended) on concentration, memory, orientation, calculation, visual perception, and executive ability.

Whether you’re a healthcare pro looking to up your rehab game or someone who just wants to keep their mind as sharp as their wit, EYAS currently offers different setups – from the portable EYAS Standard, perfect for house calls, to the EYAS Multi, for groups.

Presently EYAS is being used at over 256 sites in Korea, ranging from welfare centers for the disabled to hospitals for the elderly, and they are expanding into other countries.

The company explained to us that the next version of their software will utilize AI doctors, minimizing the need for doctors and nurses to get involved with patients while they’re using EYAS.

For those who can’t easily afford the special equipment required for EYAS, there’s good news on the horizon – InTheTech is going to release EYAS soon globally through their COGPlay app. The app launches in November on Android, iOS, and PC.
