Dunkin’ customers can get a free bat koozie today (Friday, Oct. 16), officially called a ‘Bat Cup Sleeve,’ but they’ll need to buy a drink first.
The koozie, an insulated drink sleeve designed to fit around a cup, comes with the Berry Battie Daydream Refresher, a Halloween drink Dunkin’ added to its menu on Oct. 14, and is the only way to obtain the sleeve.
Participating stores will give them away until they run out, and the offer ends when Friday does.
Made of a soft, plush material, the koozie features purple bat wings on each side designed to bring Dunkin’s new Halloween character, Berry Battie, to life. Dunkin’ shared a photo of the sleeve on a drink, and the wings stick out far enough that the cup looks like it’s flying.
The drink in question is a version of Dunkin’s Berry Clementine Refresher, but with blueberry flavor and oat milk added to it, so it’s sweeter and creamier than the regular one. The refresher is also topped with purple Marshmallow Cold Foam and two candy eyes.
Dunkin’ started putting its fall and Halloween items in stores on Sept. 30 and has added more drinks to the lineup since then. The Berry Battie Daydream is one of the newest, with most of the chain’s seasonal menu set to stay through the end of October.
Not every Dunkin’ is part of the giveaway. Customers who want a koozie may want to check with their local store before heading out.
It’s also worth noting that stores have only a limited number of the koozies, so ordering early, either through the Dunkin’ app or at the drive-thru, offers the best chance of getting one before they run out.
