While Amazon may have stopped its Prime Day event, Walmart is keeping its Deals and More event going. The retailer has dropped the price of the 25-inch LG UltraGear G5 Full HD IPS Gaming Monitor from $149 to just $79, saving you $70.
Although LG markets the UltraGear G5 as a gaming monitor, its features make it just as useful for everyday tasks. You get a sharp Full HD display, vibrant colors, smooth visuals, and plenty of connectivity options. It’s a practical choice for anyone looking to upgrade an older monitor, add a second screen to their desk, or put together an affordable home office setup.
Why Choose the 25-Inch LG UltraGear G5 Monitor?
The LG UltraGear G5 features a Full HD display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, giving you plenty of room for everyday tasks. Plus, its 25-inch size makes it a good fit for smaller desks, bedrooms, dorm rooms, and home offices.
You get an IPS panel that delivers rich colors and wide viewing angles, so images and videos look vibrant even when you’re not sitting directly in front of the screen. And since it covers up to 99% of the sRGB color space, you’ll be able to use it for everyday photo editing, presentations, and creative projects. It also supports HDR10, which is a welcome addition for watching movies, streaming shows, and enjoying visually rich content.
While most basic office monitors offer refresh rates of 60Hz or 75Hz, the UltraGear G5 can refresh its screen up to 200 times per second. This makes scrolling through websites, moving windows around your desktop, and navigating apps feel smoother and more responsive when connected to a compatible device.
Of course, the high refresh rate also makes the monitor a great choice for gaming. Combined with its 1ms response time, it helps deliver clearer motion during fast-paced action. Plus, NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility and AMD FreeSync Premium support help reduce screen tearing and stuttering when paired with compatible hardware.
On the connectivity side, the UltraGear G5 includes two HDMI ports, a DisplayPort connection, and a headphone jack, giving you several ways to connect your devices. It also has tilt adjustment, letting you position the screen at a more comfortable angle for working, studying, or watching videos.
With its Full HD IPS display, vibrant colors, smooth 200Hz refresh rate, and flexible connectivity, the LG UltraGear G5 is a solid all-purpose monitor, especially at $79. If you’re looking for an affordable screen that can handle a little bit of everything, this Walmart deal is worth considering.
