Need a big-screen laptop for everyday work? The HP OmniBook 3 16-inch laptop is down from $900 to $450, cutting its regular price in half. It combines a roomy 2K display with an Intel Core 5 processor, making it a practical option for work, school, browsing, and streaming.

The configuration includes 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD, so this isn’t aimed at demanding gaming or heavy creative work. Instead, it’s built for everyday tasks, from working in Microsoft Office and joining video calls to researching assignments and catching up on shows.

Why Choose the HP OmniBook 3 Laptop?

The 16-inch display is one of the biggest reasons to consider the OmniBook 3, especially at $450. Its 1920 x 1200 resolution is sharper than a typical Full HD screen, while the 16:10 aspect ratio gives you more vertical space for documents, websites, and spreadsheets. The IPS panel also has an anti-glare finish, which can reduce distracting reflections while you work.

Inside is an Intel Core 5 315 processor with six cores and a maximum speed of 4.4 GHz. It also includes Intel AI Boost, with a 15 TOPS NPU for supported AI workloads. And with its 8GB of onboard memory, it’s enough for everyday tasks and multitasking, though users who regularly work with demanding editing software or dozens of apps at once may want more RAM.

The included 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD provides fast solid-state storage for your apps, but anyone with a large collection of photos, videos, or games may eventually need external or cloud storage. Connectivity-wise, you get two USB-A ports and two USB-C ports, giving you plenty of options for accessories.

There’s also HDMI 2.1 for connecting an external monitor or TV, plus a headphone-and-microphone combo jack. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 handle wireless connections. The USB-C ports support DisplayPort 1.4 and USB Power Delivery, and thanks to fast charging, you can get the battery back to around 50% in about 45 minutes.

At $450, the HP OmniBook 3 makes a compelling Windows alternative to the MacBook Neo, especially if you want more screen space without spending more. Its 8GB of onboard RAM and 256GB SSD may match the Neo’s starting configuration, but the 16-inch 2K display, Intel Core 5 processor, and generous port selection give it plenty of everyday appeal.
