Pokémon’s 30th birthday celebration with adidas just got a whole lot bigger. The full adidas x Pokémon 30th Anniversary collection is now rolling out, expanding the collaboration with sneakers, tracksuits, hoodies, and more Pokémon-themed gear.
Earlier this month, the brands dropped the first bit of the collection: varsity jackets featuring Pikachu, Charizard, and Gengar, complete with character graphics, Poké Ball patches, and adidas branding. Now, fans have a much bigger selection, with the wider collection bringing more Pokémon and adidas styles into the mix.
The Sneaker Collection Goes Way Beyond Pikachu
Footwear is a major part of the full anniversary drop. The collection includes 16 sneaker styles spanning nine Pokémon, so adidas isn’t relying solely on Pikachu to carry the celebration.
Pikachu naturally gets plenty of attention, including takes on the adidas Superstar and Pro Model. But the collection digs deeper into the Pokédex with shoes inspired by Mewtwo, Rayquaza, Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar.
Adidas uses several of its recognizable sneaker silhouettes across the range, including the Superstar and Adistar Control 5. This gives you different ways to show off your favorite Pokémon without every shoe looking like a variation of the same design.
Pokémon Tracksuits and Hoodies Join the Party
The 30th anniversary celebration isn’t limited to footwear. The wider collection expands into clothing with Pokémon-themed tracksuits, hoodies, and other apparel, making the collaboration feel more like a full wardrobe than a sneaker drop.
That’s an important change from the first wave. While the varsity jackets were deliberately bold, with oversized Pokémon graphics and character-specific colors, the full collection gives fans more ways to work Pokémon into everyday outfits.
Adidas Is Going Big for Pokémon’s 30th Birthday
Pokémon debuted in Japan in 1996, making 2026 the franchise’s 30th anniversary. Rather than celebrate with a handful of character sneakers, adidas has built a much larger collection around three decades of Pokémon nostalgia.
That wider approach also means you aren’t stuck choosing between only the biggest characters. Pikachu and Charizard are here, of course, but Pokémon such as Gengar, Mewtwo, and Rayquaza give different generations of fans something to look for.
The adidas x Pokémon 30th Anniversary collection is rolling out through adidas and major retailers, with additional releases from other retailers expected to follow.
