Chipotle’s annual National Burrito Day game, Burrito Vault, is back for a third year, this time with a protein angle and more than $2 million in prizes up for grabs.
The game, which runs March 30 through April 1 between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. ET, lets Chipotle Rewards members try to unlock the Burrito Vault by guessing the exact hourly burrito order combination — ingredient by ingredient — for a chance to win. Players get four attempts per hour, and the vault resets every hour with a new combination and a fresh batch of prizes.
The grand prize is free burritos for a year (one regular entrée per week for 52 weeks). Each hour, the first player to crack the code wins this prize. After that, the next 3,600 players receive one-time BOGO entrée codes redeemable on April 2 (National Burrito Day), followed by 2,000 double protein rewards (add double protein to one entrée).
A New Twist for 2026
To finish things off with a bang, the Mexican grill chain has introduced a new Double Protein Power Hour this year, which happens once a day at a random time. During this window, everything doubles, meaning the first two players to crack the code win free double protein burritos for a year, followed by 7,200 double protein BOGO entrée codes and 4,000 double protein rewards.
The protein focus isn’t accidental. Following its recent High Protein Menu launch with builds ranging from 15 to 81 grams of protein per item, Chipotle is leaning into the trend as Google search interest in “high protein” hit a record high in 2026.
Chipotle is also running free delivery on National Burrito Day on orders made through the app or website with the code DELIVER, for a minimum $10 order.
To play the Burrito Vault, you need to log into UnlockBurritoDay.com with your Chipotle Rewards account. The game is open to U.S. and Canadian residents (excluding Quebec).
