Hershey’s has teamed up with Pokémon for a new collaboration that’s part candy, part collector’s challenge.
The brand just released a limited-edition run of its classic milk chocolate Kisses, each wrapped in foil designed to look like a Poké Ball. But what makes these even more unique is what’s underneath: 151 individual foil designs, each featuring a character from the original Kanto Pokémon lineup.
This isn’t just a gimmick. Hershey’s is encouraging fans to collect them all—literally. For a limited time, collectors can enter to win a special Hershey’s x Pokémon display case made to hold all 151 wrapped Kisses. No purchase is necessary to enter. Fans just need to sign up on the Hershey’s website.
According to Hershey’s senior associate brand manager Ashley Reeb, the collaboration is about more than just sweets. “The special-edition foils may spark a little friendly competition but also unite fans around their love for milk chocolate and Pokémon,” she said in a press release.
The collectible Kisses are available now at select retailers nationwide. Like most limited drops, they won’t last long. So if you’re looking to track down a Charmander or find a foil with Pikachu, you’ll want to start hunting soon.
This follows a string of Hershey’s themed products in recent years, including Cinnamon Toast Crunch Kisses and a Butterbeer Harry Potter edition. The Pokémon Kisses continue the brand’s push into novelty collabs aimed at both nostalgic adults and younger fans.
Bottom line: it’s a fun way to make a classic candy feel new again and a smart move from Hershey’s to turn impulse buys into a mini collecting craze.
