The whole slate of 2023 TCL TVs has been unveiled at CES 2023 in Las Vegas. This year, TCL is simplifying their model names, separating their TVs into a Q Series and a S Series. The new lineup features rebranded and improved TV sets designed to deliver better gaming and cinematic experiences.
The Q Series TVs are the flagship products in the lineup, with premium features like TCL’s QLED technology and bigger screens. The Q6 TV is designed to deliver improved picture quality using 50- to 75-inch QLED panels that support an ultra-wide color gamut, TCL’s HighBright display technology for improved brightness, and up to 120Hz variable refresh rate to deliver smooth visuals for gamers, continuing their efforts to impress gamers from last year.
The Q7 TV also has a 120Hz QLED display, but it comes in 55- to 85-inch variants with a Pro version of the HighBright display technology. The Q7 has a Full Array Pro feature that TCL claims will offer up to 5x deeper blacks compared to previous models.
TCL revealed that the Q7 TV features a TCL AIPQ Engine, which powers a Game Accelerator 240 feature that boosts the TV’s variable refresh rate up to 240Hz, allowing users to enjoy smoother visuals and enabling the Q7 TV to achieve IMAX Enhanced certification.
The QM8 is a 4K TV designed to maximize the screen size – it will be available in 65- to 98-inch variants – and features available in the other Q Series TVs. That 98-inch TV is TCL’s biggest Mini-LED TV yet, matching the size of their XL QLED set from last year, and it’ll take full advantage of the tech TCL has at its disposal. The QM8 TVs have TCL’s Mini-LED ULTRA technology and HighBright ULTRA display, which delivers double the brightness of the Q6 TV. The QM8 TVs also have built-in subwoofers and support Wi-Fi 6.
The S-Series comprises the S3 and S4 TVs. The S3 has a 1080p FHD display in 32 to 43-inch variants, and it is targeted at users who want a TV that can also be used as a desktop monitor. Meanwhile, the S4 has a 4K UHD display in 43- to 85-inch variants that support Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio.
