The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 is officially a go!
Netflix announced on Tuesday that it has renewed The Lincoln Lawyer for a 10-episode sophomore run. The streaming service also announced that Dailyn Rodriguez (Queen of the South) has joined the new season as executive producer and co-showrunner alongside returning Ted Humphrey (The Good Wife), who developed the series alongside creator, David E. Kelley (The Practice).
The renewal comes a month after the series premiered on Netflix on May 13th. The streamer’s decision to order another season of The Lincoln Lawyer is not surprising, as the show’s freshman run made it to the Netflix Global Top 10 with a cumulative 260.53 million hours viewed as of June 5th, reaching the Top 10 in 90 countries.
The Lincoln Lawyer season 1 has also received generally favorable reviews from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, 79% of 29 critics’ reviews are positive. “David E. Kelley’s adaptation of The Lincoln Lawyer relies too much on quirk to paper over its lack of true novelty, but this is a reliable enough vehicle for fans of legal pulp,” reads the website’s consensus.
